Employee Assistance Programmes

The 2006 CIPD Annual Absence Management Survey reports stress as being one of the top three reasons for absence, and that stress-related absence is continuing to increase.4

Case histories, and The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulation 1992, show it is the legal responsibility of the employer to ensure they assess the risk of stress within their own organisation. The employer must endeavour to reduce its impact within the workplace and failure to do so may result in prosecution from either the Health and Safety Executive or the employees themselves. These employer costs and liabilities can be reduced significantly if stress in the workplace is addressed and pro-actively managed.

The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offers:

  • confidential advice
  • 24hr 365 days per year
  • face to face counseling service, for your employees and their families
